Ring magnets of ferrite are used for the construction of speakers, for example, or to build self-made levitation magnets. They help picking needles or screws out of garbage or have their places in analytic systems. Rings are mostly magnetised through their thickness.
Quite large ring magnet of ferrite, magnetised in highest possible grade of magnetisation (Y35) through its thickness. Ferrite magnets consist of hard ferrite, which belongs to the group of ceramic material. As such they are extremely hard and brittle. Ferrites are heat-resistant up to approx. 250°C (if not painted), are non-toxic, value to money and most prevalent type of permanent magnets worldwide.
